what temp would be considered overheating for a auto trans

Anything above 260* or 280* if im not mistaken. I was told something around there.

no problem, questions like this, you can wait on e3sean, Darrell or ryans88GT(Something like that) and you will get a "For sure" answer and accurate too.

i kinda looked around on other random forums and i was getting more in the 230 range i think.....this isnt even for my car its my buddies cadilac......man its unreal all the sensors those thing have......

Wait until you see a le' mans series mercedes. More sensors than what the Milatary and federal building have.

normal operating temp is between 170 and 220 if its any higher and u risk failure of the torque converter

i actually didnt know that one off the top of my head i spent 30 seconds on google and found a credible article.. helps me learn as well..

But you were still accurate because you found the information. Who's to say some 10 year old kid from harvard wrote that article? I don't know but you said it right to me LOL
