After mid-01, when the tranny and various other parts change, did the manufacturer also change from windsor to romeo or vice versa?

romeos better you got a better tranny water pump and a one-piece crankshaft gear. Windsor has two so some times the woodruff key tears out of the crankshaft.

Windsor and Romeo are two different plants in michigan where they build the motors. Ones in flynt and one is in lansing or something like that. The point is its a different factory, so the process is slightly difference. Hence the bolt on gear instead of press on in the heads and such.
