Have a question stang owners. I have a '12 auto with the basic boltons gears cold air tune off-road x so which of these combinations would get me closer to mid 10s in the 1/4. Cams and nitrous or stock cams with ported heads and nitrous? I already have the nitrous kit so its definitely going on just wanna know what would be the best match with it. I've heard the coyote heads already flow very well so would ported heads even be worth it factoring in price

depending on the gears/tires/tune/susp, you can be close to mid 11's right now so with that said, a 100 shot alone should get you close to your goal.

I have a set of Mickey thompson et streets on a 17 wheel and lower control arms but I don't have relocation brackets and I've heard I need them since I changed the lca's. I was also thinking about adding uca's if needed and I have 4.10 gears.

I have the brackets on mine, but don't see a need for an upper yet on my car, at least untill the converter & cage go in.

I have 4.10's as well.

With an auto one of the best mods you can do is a converter. A little more expensive than the basic bolt ons but it makes a significant difference. Cams would be my absolute last choice.

I've seen seen alot of good 1/4 mile times posted by converter cars but I don't know how it affects driveability I don't wanna lose my daily driving smooth power delivery. I don't know what the available stalls are but I would guess around 3,000 or better and probably meant strictly for racing applications. I'm open to all possibilities though while maintaining daily driver qualities.

a converter wouln't have a big effect on your d/d the car, you'll get used to it in a day or two.

the reason I didn't mention it is that for your needs & willingness to use nitrous you probubly don't need one.

a converter would cut down on the shot required to see mid 10's though.

don't forget you'll need a significant amount of saftey equipment to run mid 10's so be shure to consider the cost of that as well.

Yeah I know I'd actually like to get fast enough to compete in some ford racing events at least street car racing events.

I haven't seen anyone hit mid 10's yet with just a 100 shot. Not saying it can't be done but it would be incredibly impressive. For the price of doing cams and nitrous(if you aren't doing them yourself) you could almost get a vortech/procharger and it'll definitely get you in the mid 10's. Know a guy locally selling a P1 kit for cheap if you are interested.

Thanks but I already have the nitrous setup I'm going to try it first and see how I like it. I read on zex's website on stock plugs you shouldn't go over 75 so I'm gonna start there and see how it goes.

nitrous is the least expensive,

the next route would be the paxton kit, i probably have 60 customers out there running 10second et.s

the auto's on these cars are great and can handle a ton of power!
