ok, ive decided I want tt. my goal is to make a sleeper with 600+hp/600+tq @ 10psi. i want a kit capable of 15psi tho. the kits im considering are HP and Hellion.
1. Which kit would be the best (price vs goals).
2. Can those goals be reached with stock heads/intake (p&p of course)?
3. What cam is recomended?
4. Whats the smallest turbos that will produce the 15psi?
5. What kind of tranny (automatic) upgrades?
6. Which kit can I run cats with?
7. Muffler and exhaust piping suguestions? im looking for a sound that is as close to stock as i can get
8. Can the suspenision offered with these kits be upgraded to air ride?
9. Which rear suspenison would be best to go along with the needed front upgrade?
I have a 1996 GT with a automatic and i do believe it has PI heads/intake, have yet to take the vavle cover off and check for the stamp

1: [email protected] not possible on a 2v boost set up. compression will have to be high to get that

2: all head offered for modulars are ford heads, no aftermarket companies offering any different castings. all heads for modulars are worked over pi heads

3: all turbo's will make 15+psi, its volume, efficientcy, temps, lag, etc that make the difference

4: turbo systems will have different piping. you will have to get weld in high flow cats, or get lucky with stock mid pipe modifications to get to bolt up

5: suspension will be going to a coil over set up in the front along with a tubular k-member. rear suspension will all depend on you

6: cams will all depend on set up

you have to remember on a stock npi motor and pi heads that the compression is bumped up to 10:1 or so.stock bottome ends woo hold around 440 or so.
nice #'s, but have to remember he is building a 2v.
it will depend on engine components, tune, accessories. it can get there at 15psi, just got to get the right stuff. hell the termi's arent getting but 600 at 15psi with a blower swap. the turbo will make better #'s because of parasitic loss, but thats just a rough comparisson. the 2v will be more restrictive than the 3 or 4v's
if a V6er can do it Im sure a 2v should be able to;)
:) should. but it takes the right components like any other build

finally, some good news. hey do u know where the casting number is on 2v heads? and how well do cams made for turbos work on a N/A motor?
should be on the side, should say pi. they will work ok, just gets full potnetial when boost is added.
identification is on the exhaust side if i remember right. it think it says pi beside casting #'s, i think the casting #'s are:

99-01 head casting: XL3E

02+ head casting: 2L1E
