Anyone have any experience with these? It's cheap and I like the 2 piece flange design, and I dont want another pypes bullshit clamp xpipe. Next cheapest is the BBK but I dont like the "x-chamber" design. A guy I work with has a upr x on his 98 and it looks like good quality. Does anyone know if it would line up with BBK shorties on my 88? Thanks

my pypes x doesn't have clamps.. flanges and lines up great with a few different catbacks and bbk shorties
Mine had clamps to clamp the x to the downpipes. I didn't like it because the down pipes kept sliding out a little after I hit any type of bump no matter how tight I tightened them.

I like the UPR because its cheap and I like the 2 piece design with a flange instead of the clamps. And I like that its a true x like the pypes. I was going to get the BBK x because it's a one piece but the whole x chamber thing seems dumb.

I think i'm gonna get the UPR and see if it fits. Guess I'll be a pioneer and let everyone know how it goes. If it's **** and doesnt fit or line up with my headers i'll sell it i guess lol

I have the UPR X with Mac shortie's on my 95 now for about 2 years with no problems, fit just fine.
Should line up with my BBKs then. Does the two piece design allow you some adjustment when installing? Because my Mac hpipe actually lines up with my BBK shorties almost and it lines up with the Mac shorties I had perfect so shouldnt be much of a difference then. the driver side bolts up but its a smidge off. Has a tiny leak but im running it now waiting to buy another xpipe

wow well that's a gay setup and i'd differently look into something that has flanges rather then clamps. the two piece design I like because you can get the pipe closer to the body so less hanging down saying to everyone "HEY I HAS NO CATS GIVES ME A $1300 citation" like what my old mac h pipe did lol. **** hung low as balls no matter what I did.

Yes it does. Makes it easier to line everything up and then tighten it all down.
Alright cool. Looks like I'm getting the UPR next week when I get paid. Did you get it from UPR's website?

I have experience changing the my X-pipe to a stock H-pipe and back the way it was. It took me all day swapping one to another because the second you put one flange in the ball the other flange wants to fall out or if its already in bolted it its almost imposable to get the other flange in and my both x and h pipes where both one piece

This isn't my first rodeo.

Thats the same prob I'm having with my pypes piece of ****!

Mine hang like 6-8" below the pockets where they're supposed to go. Pypes are so cheap they even skimped out on the horseshoe type hangers that slide into the trans x-member... I have the xpipe and tailpipes that go from the xpipe back to the bumper. It took serious modifications to get them not to rub the tires... One of the hangers was put on sideways and had to be heated and bent into place. The other was about 3" off and had to be torched off and a new one welded on.

Overall the pypes setup has to be the worst out there! I love how they include the big warning in the box that tells you if you modify their inferior product, you void your warranty.

BTW Out here in Vegas they really don't care about noise and smog.. Only clark county (where Las Vegas is) has smog check, the neighboring counties do not... Its good to have friends...
