Valves will be fine, but springs are a must. Comp makes a great Beehive spring. Cushmanmotorsports sell two. A high lift and a normal aftermarket spring.

I went with the high lift one my self.

comp dosent make a spring to hold the lift of the vt 2s. i had to go with crower springs. all my parts just arrived :D:D

id suggest +1mm valves. i just got a set from manley and am having my valves reworked along with the stage 2 port job.

seems like alot of us are doing this at the moment. should be a fun summer watching camaros in our rearviews ;)

my builder and i figured the crower was a more exact spring. you dont really need that extra lift, would be perfect for stage 3s or supercharged cams. not to mention the price. its cheaper than getting comp springs and retainers. the crower comes in a kit with titanum retainers. either way dosent make that big of a difference.
