Today I bought 4 sets of fluorescent light fixtures if the 48" variety. Moving into the new house tomorrow and I'll be installing them in the garage. Should be plenty of light for showing off work.

First detail will be correcting and opti coating moms Hyundai. :giddylikeaschoolgirl

My personal favorites:

Washing:
Walmart sheepskin mits (One for paint, one for rims)
Walmart tire brushes (Soft for inside of rims, lugholes, hard for tires)
Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash (Produces GREAT suds, thickest car wash i have found. Only bad is, it's no longer sold at my walmart, thus it's $11 at Autozone)
Two buckets+Autodetailingsolution.com's grit guards in each bucket.
Foam gun from Tractor Supply.
Rain X bug pre-wash spray for vehicles bad enough to need spraying

After Wash:
Meguiar's waffle weave towel from AutoDetailingSolutions.com
NXT 2.0 Wax (OTC wax, but very good wax)
Black magic tire shine + AutodetailingSolutions.com Tire shine applicator.
Black magic trim dressing + Old shop towel to dress black trim
Meguiar's Leather cleaner
Meguiar's leather conditioner
Invisible glass, glass cleaner.

Paint correction/Cleaning:
Meguiar's clay bar kit+ Quik Detail
Meguiar's M105
Meguiar's M205
Meguiar's machine glaze.
Northern Tool Rotary buffer
Meguiar's Yellow cutting pad
Meguiar's BLack polishing pad.

My Usual method:
Spary car with foam gun and meguiar's gold class and let sit for 5 minutes
Rinse
Spray with rain x bug prewash gel
Wash roof, then hood , then fenders, then doors+door jambs, then bumpers.
Wash rims
Wash fender wells
Dry..
Dry more..
Dry even more...
Wax if necessary
Remove wax
Dress tires
Dress trim
Wash windows
Vacuum interior
Clean/Condtion leather
Dress interior
Check over entire car for anything I may have missed.

Did a paint correction and just all around full detail on the new truck. It didn't look like the original owner had waxed the truck in the last 3 or 4 years :( It took me a full weekend and I used only OTC products, including the DA. I probably got 90% of the scratches and swirls out, a couple spots are too deep and need a little paint work but I'm really happy with the results so far.
Before:

after maybe 1/4 of the drivers door

After :

Sorry there aren't many during shots, I get in the zone and dont think to grab a camera. I have some though I'll load up later to show the progress when I was half way through certain panels. I also did a full interior detail and engine detail. I used Armor All's "natural" look interior dressing and was really impressed with it. It's silicone free and not glossy looking, but the interior looks brand new after it was cleaned and the dressing was applied. Pics of all that will come later

swirl remover or hand glaze by 3m!! use by hand, no buffer and the results will be great!
But will always be better with a machine

its called hand glaze cause u apply it and remove it.."by hand". some people arent that experienced with a buffer and may put swirls in their clear.......
Its called a glaze because it has no corrective properties and merely fills in the scratches as apposed to removing them...

With a da and glaze you'd have to try to do any damage and even then I doubt it could be done with a glaze also if they're not experienced with a polisher than more than likely they are already swirled out lol
