hey what's up. I'm a new guy to this forum, not new to mustangs :) just wanted to introduce myself and show my new ride.

2011 mustang GT 5.0 (bone stock for now)
future upgrades to start with will be :
-cold air intake
-window louvers
-cobra rear spoiler
-RTR rims
-haven't decided on which hood or body kit yet
and probably more...

my last mustang was a 88 coupe police interceptor
306 stroked to 347. 4:10 gears e303 cam 1.7 roller rockers
tremec 6 speed tranny, holly upper and lower intake bbk long tube hedders....

I could keep going but I'm typing on my phone and you probably don't wanna read that much.

anyway that's me...

Mike Ford (yes that's my real last name)

You mean 302 stroked to 347? Welcome to the forum man. Nice 5.0 you got here and I'm sure we would all like to see some pics of that old interceptor fox. Oh and great last name btw

i'd add an oil separator to your initial mod list. a bunch of different companies make them.
thats something i've been reading about, not had much experience with it myself though. sounds like it would be a good add on. thanks for the reminder.

Yea its cheap enough and effective. I've had my JLT separator on for about 250 miles and already see a little bit of oil being caught in it.. I could only imagine at 5000 miles what it will look like.

BTW welcome.. and nice color stang! ;)

mine is an auto tranny. i couldn't pass up the deal i got on the car or i would have gotten the manual. i bought it used with 20k miles on it for 17200 out the door after my trade in. so that justified me getting the automatic.

I just changed my oil after 5k with the separator. I had about 4-6oz of muck in there. They work & are a relatively cheap mod on these cars.

An equally cheap & easy mod is hood struts--get that cheap prop rod out of the way for installing all the other stuff.

Agreed. Both are cheap and effective.

I got my Redline hood struts on sale for Black Friday. Can't complain because they're probably the easiest to install, looks and work great.
