So I am under some type of impression that it is a good idea/necessary? to get wheel spacers when going from a pre 05 wheel onto a 05+. Is this true for all wheels? Or just moving around stock sizes?

I have a friend who is getting 8.5in wide (aftermarket) wheels from a '98 going on his '05. Will they just swap without a problem?

Oh, and '05 style wheels ('06 for mine, of course) will bolt up to a '67 Mustang with a 40mm spacer. Put my OEM wheels on my girl's car...sweet. They're 5x4.5" (5x114.3mm), BTW.

actually pre-05 wheels will stick out further than 05+ wheels, so spacers shouldnt be neccasary. Spacers will be needed when putting 05+ wheels on a 04-
+1 to this, as well.
