Oh, and if you do some of these other mods, say, the cams, then that combined with your 100 shot does indeed push you up on the stress level put on your bottom end.

Say you do the cams. That along with your other mods will have you around, what, say 350 to the wheels? Which is about 390 or so at the flywheel.

Stab in a 100 shot on top of that, and you're hitting mid to high 400's at the wheels. Yes, lots of guys are running high 4's and low 5 hundreds on their stock bottom ends, but a lot of it is luck of the draw and how often you smash on it. At the very least you will certainly be putting a ton more stress on the bottom end than when it was stock. Obviously. :)

I think he will be close to 325-330rwhp with cams. 07stanggt has longtubes and delete plates and is at 350. I think you would be wfine with a 100 shot.
As I said, with his current mods, and depending what other mods he does, he could be pushing 350.

Even if it's only 330 though, that's kind of splitting hairs. Adding a 100 shot is still stress on the engine compared to stock. That's not like adding 100 horse through F/I or NA methods, where that power is always there, and you roll in to it as gently or as hard as your foot desires. When you use that 100 shot, you are smashing on the motor as hard as you can, and blasting in that extra power in a sudden rush.

Like I said, it partly comes down to how you use whatever power you have.

True.
