It's my DD for now until I get something new to drive. I have a full exhaust system cat delete off-road H-pipe with flowmaster 40's. CAI, 75mm tb and stage 4 banks chip but I want something that will get me a lot more power and torque with a nice Lopez.

The 268h are actually npi cams and 270ah are pi cams. If it ends in ah its pi, if it ends in h then it's npi. What are your goals for your car? It hard to suggest anything to you without know them.
He actually said 268ah in the OP. Im assuming maybe he meant 262ah?

On just a bolt-on car with no gears, you'd be better off with the xe262ah's over the 270s. 270's have a lot of duration for the stock PI heads and you'll lose some bottom end. It'll feel gutless on the street. They're definitely better complimented with ported heads and a set of gears. Are you dead set on comp cams? If not, I'd recommend looking into CMS cams also.

What programmer would you recommend.? And also I've been reading a few other forums stating that the stage 2's are probably best for a good loping idle and power gain. Most of which are saying hi-tech or cms. But majority is hi-tech.

Nothing wrong at all with using a "chip". If a tuner cant burn a tune on a chip then get go to a different guy!!
For the cost of cams and ported heads you can buy a used supercharger and make way more hp. Sometimes a lot cheaper also.

Ya I didn't think there was anything wrong with a chip. As a flash tuner/programmer is probably actually worse because it can reset your computer permanently of used improperly. And I've always wanted a supercharger, but I've never found one for a price under 3500-4 grand.

How would they be worse? There actually better in every aspect. You can datalog, adjust settings in your tune, load different tunes when you want. Such as a street tune and a strip tune etc. I was just suggesting it because there isn't many tuners that use chips anymore.

Only worse if used improperly as I stated. And yes way more settings on a programmer because of the screen and everything. But the chip I have has 3 stages pre programmed and changes settings with the turn of a knob under my steering wheel. And has room for 3 more. I just don't need that much storage. For a $600 programmer I can get cams instead. My chip was only $250 and free tunes for life. But seeing as that isn't the subject lol I just really need a good set up for cams ithw stock heads.

I must agree, it's definitely cheaper to go S/C than to do ported heads and cams. If you have a shop install the parts, you're looking at $3.5-4K total. Thats the typical price range of a centri setup, and you'll be down ~70-90hp on most entry level non-ic centri setups.

I have free tunes through American Muscle. And so a supercharger would cost around the same as a cam and head setup but have way more power gains. I know a blower kit such as kenne bell or whipple is a damn good gain but that cost a lot more than a vortech or something simple.

You can find supercharger kits for under $3000 and make close to 400rwhp with some fuel upgrades. They are easy to install and you would not get a free tune for it...
