How many of yall are going?
We drank at night and stayed around Fremont street for hours til we sobered up. I stayed with a good friend of mine that's stationed at Nellis. Where are yall staying?
I didn't have the $ in my budget to do the exotic car experience. They do it here in Charlotte, NC too so no biggie for me on that one.
I hear Guns and Burgers is cool. I'll be doing that my next time out.
Fremont street after 9pm or so is a must. It's more "classic" Vegas as far as Casinos but there's so much to see and do. Don't know if you spent much time there. We went nearly every night.
Grand Canyon West is a must if you're going to the G.Canyon. It's about a 2hr drive IIRC. I think it's the closest place to see the Canyon. It's fairly expensive but worth it. There's where the Skywalk is. I didn't go on the Skywalk as it's an extra $30ish and I was on a budget this go round. The drive is long and it's expensive but it is 100% worth it, I promise. I went sight seeing while my buddy was on base for work during the day. He told me "If there's only one thing you do while you're here, go to GC West. It's worth the drive and $." I almost turned around after about an hour of driving out there thinking to myself "I saw it from the plane, doesn't look that impressive.". Yea, that was a very stupid thing to think. The moment I pulled up and saw the canyon. "This was very worth it." It's beyond beautiful and very relaxing. Just don't dick around on the edge of the canyon as there's no guardrails obviously. lol Oh, MAJOR tip. Fill up the car with gas BEFORE you head out that way. Other wise you might be like me and start praying that you have enough fuel to make it back. I was getting extremely nervous on my way back. There's a couple of stations out in the middle of BFE on the way there but gas is $7/gal. Be smart about speeding on the way out there. My luxurious Chrysler 200 rental sounded like a sewing machine doing ~90 mph on the way there and back. Plan to use ~6-8hrs for that trip total.
The Hoover Dam is on the way out to the Canyon, it's only a 30 drive from Vegas though so you can see it on another day. Also worth it. I think it's $15 for the powerplant tour. Starts with a 20 min video on the dam's history then a tour down into the dam. You get to see the generators, which interests me, so the $15 was worth it. There is a longer tour for more $ but I didn't wanna spend that much time at the dam.
Eldorado Canyon is a neat place on the way to Lake Mead if you head out that way for swimming and such.
I hear Red Rock Canyon is a must see. I ran out of time and didn't get to go on that trip. My buddy goes out there quite a bit.
The $ to get to the top of the Stratosphere is worth it just to watch people ride the rides. Beautiful view of the strip at night too. If you go, I highly recommend going as the sun is going down.
Of course the strip has tons to do, but I don't have to tell you that.
Skip the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop from the Pawn Stars show. It's a major disappointment. It's about the size of my house (not big) and they don't have much cool stuff.
Parking at the hotel parking garages on the strip is free. Take advantage of it.
If you have any questions, you can PM me and I can ask my buddy about it. He's gotten very familiar with Vegas.

I snapped nearly 1000 pics while I was there but here's 3 of my favorites.
