Removed and stripped down the drivers seat to look for a broken weld. Found it all the way up top. I figure I'll have the other side welded up since the seat is apart. At 280, it is a little tight for me getting my legs in and I must have put too much pressure on the backrest. What a pia job.

Lol I hear ya. If I just kept my white car, I would have a cpr car with forgestars, and now that I'll be ordering another one here in a few months that could of been built motor and auto or magnum money. If I could ever go back in time.... God damn it.

Yup, haha. I loved that white car too man, it looked and just performed damn well. I'm torn between going T56 mag or 6R80 in this car when I have the funds to do so, but boost it first for sure haha. I will 99% be going On3. Gonna hate my life when installing it, but oh well. The kits flat out work and they work well.

Okay guys, I have an issue and I just wanted all your opinions before I say something to my boss Friday. Here's a little background info about the situation:
My car (2012 GT) has been consuming oil like crazy here lately. Anyways, I checked my oil yesterday before driving to Richmond and the oil was at the bottom hole on the dipstick and I just changed it 3,000 miles ago! I run Amsoil Signature Series 5W-30 and have been for about 20,000 miles now. Haven't noticed any smoke from the exhaust or anything like that but it has to be burning it because I have no leaks. The car does have a tune on it but the rev limiter is set to stock so I haven't been spinning it to the moon.
I work at my local dealership and I've already looked up the oil consumption spec and that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Ford states that the motor holds 8qts of oil (which is true). The recommended change interval if using Motorcraft 5W-20 is 10,000 miles (my dealer recommends every 5). Ford also states that specification for oil consumption is 1qt of oil every 1,000 miles of driving. So if you follow the recommended change interval (10,000) and you burn 1qt of oil every 1,000 miles you would then burn 10qts between oil changes. (10,000/1,000=10) So if you burn 10qts of oil and your motor only holds 8 that would leave you with -2qts of oil and metal in your oil pan. (8-10=-2)
My question to you guys here is this: Should I install breathers on my valve covers and see if my oil consumption issue gets any better, or should I just keep an eye on it and say something to my boss Friday when I get back to work and get it in for some testing?
I just want some other opinions just to see what you all think. Thanks guys!
