I have a 306 built block, trick flow h/i/c, full exhaust with long tubes, 30lb injectors, 373's and some other stuff... and wanted to get a nitrous kit, i was wondering if anyone else has a simular setup and what they run. I want a good quality setup with everything i need included with different shot options. Any info is greatly appreciated. Probably over the inter I am going to look into getting a supercharger so I want something that will also work with that.

The plate kit that sandwiches between your upper and lower is the best IMO. With those 30's you can probably get away with a decent shot of a dry kit. I'm not sure if they make the plate kits dry or not.
plate kits are only wet or let me put it this way I have never in my life seen a dry plate kit.

You could say the wet kit is "safer" because it adds a metered amt of fuel while you spray, so there's almost no chance of going lean. A dry kit is just nitrous and relies on your injectors to keep the A/F at safe levels, but you can go lean if you don't adjust it properly.

I have a NOS kit and it seems to be pretty good quality. You can get just about any hp size kit you can handle on a stock block. I would stay under a 200hp shot and probably closer to a 150 shot unless you add some end gap to your rings. If you go too big of a shot without more end gap, thermal expansion of your pistons can wreak some havok.. it's not always the case, but the risk is a lot higher.

NOS is a good brand. My tuner has installed and tuned dozens of kits of all shapes and sizes and the only brand he swears by is NX. He said they are the only kits that he has never had a problem with and their 'noids are guaranteed for life.

bottles are for babies...and pinks
lol...I used to think the same thing when I couldn't afford it...:D:D:D

If your not using nitrous, then your just getting beat by everyone that is.

I just want to clarify here that, wet or dry, theres ALWAYS a possibility of going lean. Running a wet system does not in anyway, garuntee that you wont run into a lean condition because of hardware.

Always keep an eye on your plugs, and always make sure your hardware is in good working order before you spray. Its way better to be safe, than really sorry when it comes to this stuff. Anyone who uses Nitrous, knows what its like to feel stupid, and be sorry about mistakes they could have avoided.

Ive used a bunch of different Nitrous systems with EFI, and my personal prefference has always been NX. Understand though, no system or brand is the "best" by any means, but in my experiences with N20, NX makes good engineered systems.

I agree with baine. so I gotta go ahead and rep you on this.

A wet kit will go lean only if fuel pressure drops. As bottle pressure drops, the system gets richer. A dry kit will force 1000psi of n2o to your FPR causing a spike in fuel pressure of up to 70-100psi. This forces more fuel thru your injectors. It is in no way metered. a 50hp dry kit gets as much fuel as a 125hp shot. That is why I stick to my guns when I say a wet kit is better.
