Well, got the blower pulled off the car and changed the seal. :) Wasn't that bad. Good thing I did cause I found the idler pulley for the engine was starting to wobble. Put a little shine on my blower bracket if you know what I mean. So, lucky me:) Well, hopefully it will be going back together soon. Oh yay. Also got my axles and locker at the front door the other day. So, between the trans rebuild, new axles, locker, gears, 3.27. And putting the engine back together. Still debating on carbinite coating on blower pulley (3.2) being that I moved up from 5.5 underdrive crank pulley to 6.8 crank pulley. Was hitting 12lbs on that set up. We will see now:)

I thought the worse part was taking the supercharger off the car and putting it back on. Changing the seal was pretty easy.

Many years ago before I changed my first seal, I read instructions on changing it. The instructions said to take the case apart and tap the seal out from the inside. What? A guy at ProCharger tech support pointed me in the right direction. I wish he had reminded me that the seal would burn if I did not lubricate it then I wouldn't have had to do it twice that day. But, that is a mistake I'll never make again.

Thanks, Ive been dealing with a lot stuff the last couple years. I hope to be more active in forums, and start working on the car again. I probably put less than 500 miles on the car last year. It needs a hand full things addressed to be back in prime running order.

Well, as many of us know. The projects are never done, sometimes they just get put on the back burner. Glad to hear your getting back involved.

Check out Jive's garage (click on his name then slide down and click on view garage). He's running 600+ rwhp and back in the day his build influenced many Modded Mustang members to run Vortech superchargers. Brand loyalty ran deep and we used to have some spirited discussions about it.
Yea... its to bad this forum and most forums in general are dying for the SN95 scene

As far as brand loyalty in the entry level SC's such's as S, SI and T-trims and the entry level SC's from Procharger such as the P1SC and the D1SC. I still think the Vortech had a slight edge in all out peak hp numbers with the smaller entry class SC. I also like it better the small KB's such as the 2.1 if looking at peak hp only, but after that when stepping up to intermediate and larger SC's is when I would consider other brands such as the Paxton Procharger, KB, and Whipple.

For me they all make good products. Some shine brighter than others when considering the size of the SC and it's application.

What sold me at the time with Vortech was how inexpensive it was to start with and the ease of upgrading later which also cost less than most companies.

If I didn't already have a setup and wanted a larger SC I probably go with a F1 Procharger or consider going with a turbo instead.

I wonder how long before we end up in the "classic mustang" section? :grin2:
At one time a car that was over 20 years old was considered a classic. Most of the current definitions say 25 years old. A quick google search on the internet came up with three separate time frames for antique cars. One said 100 years. Another said 50 years. And a third said the Antique Automotive Club of America uses 25 years.

If you go by the first model year (1999) then our cars will become classics in 2024. About seven years from now.
