First time out at the track and here are the results

1st 2nd 3rd
R/T .597 .416 .447
60' 2.195 2.245 2.276
1/8 9.756 9.184 9.254
MPH 76.17 80.44 80.19
1/4 14.687 13.971 14.043
MPH 101.70 102.07 103.39

First run I launched normal and missed 2nd. Second run I wheel hopped after releasing at 2500. Third was somewhere in between the 1st and 2nd on the launch. And this was on street tires.

I have no idea (St. Louis). I know they are bad times but I was babying the shifting and it was on street tires. I ended up throwing a code and breaking my AFR 02 sensor on my 2nd run. I posted a longer thread in the 4V section concerning that.

I ran into a guy there that said his Mach was bone stock down to the tires and was running 13.4 and he's been 6 times. It made me feel kinda bad, because I know this thing should be running better.

the only way i could get my 9.0 runs was to launch low or not rev at all.( on streets) those aren't to bad of runs. i run those times too. i'm not sure if its our gear or what that makes us spin so badly. ive never had a car spin this much at the track. I can whip the crap out of my old lt1 trans am and it ran 8.9 bone stock and on streets it didnt spin but just a tiny bit off the line and would slightly chirp second. there is a mach guy here local that i met hes runs drag radials and said it shaves a half second off your et easily.

The trap speed, especially on your third run, isn't that bad. And it kept increasing so you know you were getting better at it. Get some Nitto's and low 13's shouldn't be an issue.

I'm going to hold off on the drag radials until I can build up my rearend. The last thing I need happening is snapping an axel on my DD.

ur taking to long to put it into 2nd is what im seeing by your times. you seem to be launching ok for street tires.

what rpm are you shifting at? my buddy with his mach which makes very close to your power is running 12.5@108 or so, but he shifts at like 6000-6200 and doesnt go near redline

i dont have mach but i too shift early i usually shift at 5500-5700 (redline 5800). it seems to work the best.

looking at your 1/8 mile times it seems to be a little off on the MPH. my car with x pipe, mufflers, intake, and a tune is trapping 82mph @ 8.9 on **** ass streets. my 60 fts are between 2.1 and 2.2

tires are the best bet. and the rear end idea is a good one also
