ok so i was dicking around, about a month ago with a new gt500 ( i new i was gunna get my ass stomped) but i did it anyway. the gt 500 wasnt able to pull on me. i down shifted to 2nd at about 30 when the guy was gunna try to do a (flyby) and i stopped him cold about a car back. i know for a fact that he couldnt drive it. because he looked to be around 15 or 16 years old and we ( me and a guy in a srt8 charger that was also ****ing with him) got a chance to talk to him. he didnt know dick about the car for one we asked him how much boost it was making and he said 500 (seriously thats what he said) so we kinda educated him on boost alittle and then he left and almost ran the car off the curb. it was a really nice car only had 1100 miles on it but im just wondering how much hp it makes to the wheels? ive seen other videos of f-bodies fending off the new gt500 pretty well.

Oh yeah and now the kid no longer drive the gt500 around he drives daddys 07 viper that he did drop off a curb me and a few other guys watched him do it from across the street coming out of hardees.

GT500s are not that fast......at least not as fast as they should be. 500 horsepower + 3900 pounds without driver doesn't equate to a very fast car.

A new GT500? Maybe on a real generous dyno. Most people are seeing 420ish.
yeah but with 420 hp at 3900 it should still walk me even with a **** driver my car is 3800 at maybe 325 to the wheels with 3.42's, what gears do they come with and do they still have a t-56?

They have 3.31 gears and a T-56.

Your car should go like a mad man with only slight modifications. Guys with LS1 cars around here are running high 12s to low 13s with common bolt ons, torque converter and tires.

They are a mid to high 12 second car in the quarter depending on the driver. Of course that means dick with a novice driver or someone who has never been to the track before. I laugh when people tell me around here that their car runs a xx.xx in the quarter and they've never been to the track.

A good friend of mine has one. His stock, but retuned(no mods at all, just a retune) ran low 12's on stock rubber. They run mid 12's to low 13's depending on how many miles are on them and the driver mod. They don't make full power until after 500 miles or so, it's something in the computer from the factory. They respond very well to mods though, my friends now makes well over 700 to the wheels with a KB 2.8. We'll be taking it to the track before long, just have to find some sticky tires for it first.

if they run mid 12s to low 13s then up here it would be mid 13s to low 14s so my car can keep up cool.
