ok gentlemen i have forever wanted a v8 mustang and now i have one i recently bought a hammer shifter and a cold air intake ... my car is a 91 gt auto ... it already has a exhaust but i dont like it that much ( turbo with turndowns after the axles) anyway i wanted to know what type of cars i can beat ? cuz there are a couple guys who are way to cocky and i would love for them to see some tail lights but i dont wanna try if i will lose cuz then they will just be worse so anyway i was wondering what cars i can beat like camaros ? other stangs ? or even some imports anyway any help or past stories of what all you all have and what you have beat would be awesome thanks guys ... :cool:

hell yeah you are going to smoke em all....that hammer shifter adds like 1347 HP at the crank...especially if you put the B&M sticker right in the middle of the windshield....sorry but I had to do it....man its hard to answer that question basically your car is stock you are going to outrun some mustangs of the same era that are bone stock or if you are a better driver...and maybe some older camaro's in the same era as long as they are not 350's .....you planning on any mods? I would also do a tune up and new plugs and wires if it hasnt been done recently

dont be a dick to the kids guys, he's just asking a question.

you can beat some older Fbody camaros, not an IROC or GTA or anything like that, you can be v6 stangs, most of the v6 camaros if your cars running mid 15s or better. if you race a Fbody trans am or camaro theres a good chance he is going to beat you. id imagine you car with those mods could run maybe a 15.4 at beast, thats just my guess thu. pick you fights wisely because a stock auto 5.0 with those little mods cant beat to much

well first thing you should get rid of is the automatic transmission, because unless your running 9's, that's just gay......

and yeah that's kind of a hard question to answer man........

Gay my balls. I beat 5 speed stangs. With my AOD 5.0. It only has 4.10 gears,Aod hp shift kit,A+servo,K&N AF. You can beat alot of cars. Just not 98-02 Camaros and Transams. 93-97 Camaro/Transam with LT1's are fast but you can beat them with only bolt ons if the F-body is stock. You can even beat 96-04 Gt that are stock.

whatever....man I really wish you were just a short drive from me so I could show you how my gay auto would walk off and leave your "non gay" 5 spd.....5 speeds are for people not making enough power to break them.....ok guys dont take me so serious I said I was joking and gave him basically the same answers you did...and dont worry about the auto thing buddy a lot of peeps are gonna bust your balls thats why I left mine to prove a point get you a stall and a built valve body (or shift kit) and that auto will be kick ass and you can build them to hold a crapload of power for not a lot of $crilla and 15's is too high you should be in the 14's or you are needing some work on the car or driving lessons

But he sounds like a young kid that just wants to go street race and will probably wind up in a bad situation.
Learn your car first, take care of it, take your time, and you'll get it where you want it eventually. You cant expect instant gratification out of a car that it seems you know little about.

15.4 at best? no way.. my 100% bone stock '92 LX 5.0 auto ran a 15.0 on my very first pass ever, and that was with street tires, full tank of gas, huge cooler full of drinks in the back, and spinning off the line.. like i said, everything was 100% stock, even down to the timing

well ok all this info is awesome.. well i am rebuilding my car with my dad we rebuilt my truck when i was 16 and i love it but this one i want to be a lil quicker then my truck seeing how i dont have over 200 bucks in the engine of my truck... so i just want to be able to out run a few cars ... i dont entend on flying buy a ls1 camaro or anything like that..... soon i will be buying a electric fan and maybe a intake upper and lower , and shorty headers .....

You might be able to beat my tiburon daily driver, it ran a 15.0. It would be a very close race...
