Just can't take the rattling of the flowmasters any more. So my question is magnaflow or magnapack with an x pipe?

well i have the magnaflow on my car and its only a little bit louder than stock...im getting the h pipe pretty soon. my brother has the magnapacks and they are loud as hell and hes got the catless h on his car. if ur looking to keep it toned and worry about how loud u are then get the regular magnaflow....if u dont have to keep quiet then get the magnapacks...they sound awesome..im not a fan of x pipes my self but watever

eh the magnaflows are QUIET as anyhthing with the stock h. if you listen to a vid you can barely tell a difference over stock.
but since you have an x then either works. i have heard the magnaflows with an x pipe and it sounds great. nice and deep. but im sure magnapacks sound nasty too. im sure they are also louder. maybe a little raspier since they are more of a straight thru muffler.

i run my packs with an h pipe. loud as hell, but i get compliments from everybody about how damn good it sounds. when i get my long tubes, i might switch to the flows, because of the volume, but for now, i think i have one of the best sounding exhausts in my area. i would do and h, x sounds like ass with the packs.

depends on the mid pipe as well. a friend of mine has regular magnaflow weld ins, its pretty loud. another friend had them, it was kind of quiet.

magnapacks ftmfw! i had them and i think they are the best sounding mufflers out.. i have also had dynomax bullits, flows 2 different series, flow-pro, and another brand of bullit and the magnapacks deff sounded better and flowed better than any of the above

Reg.Magnaflows will sound great with either an H or X
Magnapacks sound great with either a ProChamber or X pipe..........H=blat, like a Harley Davidson Motorcycle or an old chevy with glasspacks.

Aren't normal magnaflows similar to flows? I heard the raspiness (sp?) of the x pipe causes 2 tone mufflers to rattle

nah, Flowmaster are chambered mufflers, Mags are straight thru.
couple vids of magnaflows and x pipe.
sounds badass, well to me, hehe!

I personally am a fan of the regular magnaflow with an o/r x. IMO the magnapacks are to poppy. I have the slp loudmouth catback and i hate it bc its so poppy it thats exactly what the magnapacks remind me of. Im switching my catback for the magnaflow one for that smooth deep sound .
