quick question - can you mix a funcitonal ram aircharger for a 2005 v6 and a supercharger at the same time or is this one or the other ?

also can you add the cold air intake as well

I've seen a v8 with a shaker hood that fed a supercharger, but ram air hoods dont really work. they set too low to grab any realistic amount of air. This is why the filter has an opening to the fenderwell. The best place for a ram air to be placed would be anywhere on or under the front bumper, or up near the cowl. That's where a lot of air lands. Although the shaker hood is functional, it doesn't really ram much air in.

if you have a a s/c you can use a cai in fact you want to not sure on the ram air though I would assume you could.

it doesn't ram any air in your only getting what the TB sucks. the arrow dynamics of a vehicle you would need a breather that is 3/4 of the way up to your roof height to get and ram air action.

yeah I guess the ram air would be pointless since they s/c's job is you force air into the engine essentially so cai would work you would need it but ram air would be pointless unless you already have it.

ok thank you all for your replies im going for the supergarger - can someone define cai for me - i dont do the mechanic work ill have to pay for someone to do it - im a computer geek .... ( for shammmme on me ) i know

CAI is a simple bolt on you could do it if you can turn a wrench. Go to eBay and buy one. Then simple disassemble your old intake and attach the new pipes with the grommets and clamps provided and tighten down the 4 bolts that connect the fenderwell pipe to the MAF.

Oh and it stands for cold air intake.
