i think the motor is done for, not 100%, but pretty damn sure. here are a couple vids of what its doing.

have you pulled the plugs and checked them? pulled the valve covers to see if anything looks out of the norm? maybe a compression test to further investigate...

i did all this before knowing for sure i had a blown motor. besides oil and smoke blowing out the dipstick tube and running on 5 cylinders and shooting blue smoke out the pipes lol.

That doesnt sound very healthy, that sucks. I wish i could help but your engine knowledge is way above mine. I'm assuming this is how it started acting since your spark plug issues.

At least you drove the piss out of it before it went south. Your car was a glutten for punishment.

Off topic but what rpm where you trapping at the end of the 1/4?

It realy sounds like the spark timing is all jacked up now that I listen to it. maybe just lost some teeth off the crank trigger wheel or it may just be acting up. Did you get a chance to look at it before you went to work?

+1 Sweet you know way more about engines than me, but that's where I'd start. Hope it's something cheap. If not..We wouldn't abuse them if we weren't secretly looking for excuse to rebuild it and make it badder.

i am pretty sure the main bearings are shot. i just pulled the plugs and 4 of the plugs were flattened. i am now at a cross road on what i will build and put in.

A monster I'm sure. My motor is on the way out, I'm thinking that the Aluminators actually don't look too bad. Of course, you could always do the 4v swap if you don't mind some extra work.

i do all my own planning, building, spec's, etc. i have a few idea's, but those ideas are under wrap. me and my machinist are pitching around a few idea's as well.
