Check it over, run the VIN, It looks good from the picture, that could be a big cover up, that dosn't look like and color I remember from 88-89

I drove it once...Looked and rode pretty good. A little rough because it was lowered but the motor itself sound good and was smooth. It was repainted from my understanding. DIdnt hear anything while driving it. I am going to drive it again before I buy and this time get it on the highway and really get on it. So I can see if I here anything or feel anything.


OH Hey guys you forgot about the times or HP estimates. LOLOLOL.. What do you think?

She Idled really good. I let it sit for about 5 minutes and it sound good. Had a CObra upper and lower intake...and CAI...and UDP's. Thats all I can see from opening the hood.

It also has some 3.73 in the rear....I could feel the different when I was driving. Felt pretty good. But Stock heads and cam.
 
It sounds like your basic 93 cobra set up and that was far from 350 rwhp, I put a Holley system on a 92 LX and it only made 312 rwhp and I think those are good set ups (no turn and a weak AOD) I think you would be lucky if you have 300 at the crank. I have spent some good money on motors to have them dynoed and fall short of my high hopes so don't bank on that big power

oH..No....This particular one we are talking about didnt claim alot of power. Actually he had no idea. It was just something to drive. It was the other car that I havnt looked at, that was claiming 350. I am going to look at that one this evening. We will see, and i am goign to drive it and see if it really has that power. But then again, I drive a 03 V6 with mods so I dont know what a 350 HP car feels like. LOLOLOL.. Driven one of the new Maximas and they are pretty quick. SO if it doesnt feel faster then that...then we have a problem. LOL

13.90s or so on a street tire.

What worries me is the price and the picture. They don't go hand in hand. The car looks unbelieveably clean. Its hard to find a fox body like that for only $3500. I wonder what the story on it is. Pictures hide alot so I supose it could be not as nice as it looks but either way I'd make sure it hasn't been wrecked or some other issue. If it checks out, good for you for finding such a deal.

Thanks Thats not bad at all. I wont be on a street tire so hopefully faster then that. Also some suspension mods are in hand.

yea I though the same thing. The only reason he is selling it is because he as a Charger, a truck, and a 67 fastback that he is working on. His wife told him to get rid of something because there was no room. He seems to be a simple dude and humble. he doesnt want to sell it at all. I think its a great deal....He had the car for 5 years and only drove it on the weekends. hence the mileage.
 
You don't get much of a car for $3000. I highly doubt it makes anywhere near 350hp.
yea i got mines for 2k,.. it ran, but not the greatest, and i blew a head gasket after a week of relatively hard driving. Just be knowledgeable when you approach the sale. Check for rust in key areas, check the torque boxes, engine bay is a no brainer, do a reasonable take off on the test drive to check the track loc, things like that will ensure you a solid buy

How do I check the Torque Boxes? She is beautiful so thats why I am on it. He has agreed to hold it til Monday for me. I told him I would have the money then. I am going to test drive it again this weekend and this time I am going to do a couple starts and see how she is.

WOW...Nice car FAKESALEEN...... The Car looks exactly like yours except it has CHrome Pny rims. So what type of Mass AIR would you recommend?

Oh, I went and drove the car again this weekend and that damn thing pulled pretty hard when I dropped it in second. Went through all the gears and everything is cool. I let it sit for a few and listen to the engine....revved it and listened. So its all good. SO thats pretty much a done deal. I pick it up on Wednesday.
 
as for the mass air,. your gonna want to check to make sure its not already equiped with one,. mines an 89 and it came with the maf already... that might have something to do with the CA vehicles though

OK.. I will look into that....But I am still thinking about moving up to a good size one. I hear a lot about the 90mm and the 80 as well.

Also, I know this switches topic a little. What is need to convert to LT headers? I have a guy who is going to sell me some BBK Longtubes for 100. What will I need to change for them to work? I appreciate the help man.
