Guys anyone race a 2009 Challenger R/T Auto? Friend is getting a R/T and is giving me crap about beating the snot out of my GT. All i have is a 93 tune with CAI with an auto. Anyone see one at the track or take on one? Results?

What shop is that? What tires and wheels do you use for the track?
blown they only put out like 540 horse... flywheel... they dont like FI to much because of compression...
everyone that is going fast is using nitrous because of the drive-by-wire system... 150-200 shots...

An S197 with just a tune and intake can run low 13's with a decent driver.
The R/T Challengers are pulling off 14's.

1st around here I have not seen an r/t run faster than a 14. Second they are one of the highest hp losing car. and here is a vid that I posted a while ago. You got him if you can drive.

Friend got his auto R/T. We raced 3x i beat him all 3x but he is bone stock right now. He said that the R/T has a few exhausts that can add 25-30hp on them. With a CAI and tune added it should really add some HP. They must respond well to mods.

It is a nice looking car. Rides real nice. I was talking to the salesman that sold my buddy the car. The crazy thing is even that these car dealers are hurting the best they could do is $1000 off sticker and would give me 20,000 for my 08. They still dont want to deal with ya on these cars.
I hate to say it but good. Its time the american companies stop losing money on cars so they can say sales arent falling or market share isnt bleeding. That was all about share value anyway, and it failed miserably. they need to just focus on good old fashion profit for a while.

yeah and they need to focus on a car that does not lose 100hp to the wheels through the drive line.
