Just installed the E-303 in my car advanced 2* with 24lb injectors and 73mm mass-air calibrated for the 24's. If I go from a stop the car will take off slugish untill 3k and then it comes on good. But since it has no power untill 3k the car will NOT do a burnout!
Any ideas? Maybe fuel pressure is off or a vaccum leak??

Thanks, Matt

Go out and find your own answers....dont be a baby because you cant put together a car right...

First of all your running an E cam...dont know what heads...probably stock e7's

Sounds like you didnt use a degree wheel....

Go out in the garage and get to work......

baine21225: I have had the problem ever since i got the car, but not as bad..before it would do a burnout, now it wont do crap. It wont even bark the tires from a stop...

93mustank: thanks for the help, sorry i dont have money to go buy more expensive parts like heads, and crap like u can..the car is getting faster slowly and thats all that matters.

I am just saying that this is a solution, but it will obviously need some gears also...then an intake...heads....headers.....stroker kit......blower.....control arms.....k member....upgraded fuel system....anti roll bar.... lightened up....cage.....lmao. It never ends does it?

THANKS for all the info..the car is an AOD wit 3.73 gears..I found out today the car had 50lbs of fuel pressure! Lowered it down to 38, bumped timing to 16* and then found out my TPS was broken and reading 0 volts..so brought a new one, and the car pulls a little better down low, and feels WAY better in the upper rpms.
All that gas floodin the cylinders may have fouled the plugs so gonna have to check them tomorrow..BTW still wont do a burnout =(

glad you are getting somewhere though! how do u know it has 3.73's for sure though? I would just jack the rear up and spin the tire and count revolutions of the d/s and tire and find out for sure.just for ur own sanity. If it does have 3.73's, you should be roasting the tires, and need to find yourself another mustang enthusiast to help you figure out what is going on with it. I love helping when people have problems, wish you lived closer....

Did you try the cam installed at 0? If not then you don't know if it helped anything down low. My guess is it hurt more than it helped. You need a higher stall torque converter. That will solve your problem. Anytime you use a performance camshaft with an automatic transmission you need to upgrade the converter accordingly. When you get into bigger camshafts the car won't even idle in gear without a looser torque converter.
