hey guys, i just got a 06 GT and i want to get my subs in it. the factory stereo is good for now, but i want to get more bass. is there a hook up on it to run an AMP or do i have to do a high level input to the amp from the rear speakers?

thanks for any info!

here are the colors for you car, you can either get them behind the radio or go at the rear speakers themselves.

Battery LIGHT GREEN/VIOLET (+) RADIO HARNESS
Accesory GRAY/YELLOW (+) RADIO HARNESS
Ground BLACK/ORANGE (-) RADIO HARNESS
LF Speaker (+) ORANGE/LIGHT GREEN
LF Speaker (-) LIGHT BLUE/WHITE
RF Speaker (+) WHITE/LIGHT GREEN
RF Speaker (-) DARK GREEN/ORANGE
LR Speaker (+) GRAY/LIGHT BLUE
LR Speaker (-) TAN/YELLOW
RR Speaker (+) BROWN/PINK
RR Speaker (-) ORANGE/RED

the signal will be fine, it would sound better with an aftermarket radio cause you'll have more control over the hertz, gains, etc... but you will be fine.

Depending on the LOC you can control frequency, gain and load of other things. Stay away from the scosche one's they suck. You may find that you will need one with a power wire and/or ground wire. They can be a major PITA.

What's stopping you from getting the console apart?

first off lift up the surrounding trim ring around the shifter, open your arm rest and I think that there are 2 screws holding it down, remove those two. then pull up on the whole center piece (with the cupholders) it will pop up, also make sure to have your ebrake up it just makes it alot easier. now from there pull on the plastic trim pieces to the left and the right of your radio (it will pop off but might be kind of tight just be careful) then take the radio trim off and unplug the connectors. I believe that there are a total of either 4 or 6 9/32 screws holding the radio in remove these then you are done.

oh, i forgot to mention. i can't find the AUX input! do i not have one? it has the shaker500. i found a harness with a small clip sitting under the cup holders that wasn't plugged in to anything.

im dont think that your car came with an auxillary feature unless it is in your center armrest.
