well i decided to light up my car in my buddies driveway, and low and behold im doing a 2 wheel peel i dont think i got a posi but i cant see how i was getting both peeling so easily i let off it let the smoke clear and did it again a bit and both started turning again. is it possible i got a posi? or just the way my car decided to grab traction i didnt think i have a t-loc is there any way i can check

you can check by opening up the rear and see if it is a clutch-packed posi, etc... btw, do you have the 7.5" or 8.8" rear?

Your could be going bad and locked up on ya. Iv heard of it happening before. Or, it just could of grabbed the right way.
u must mean my differential and no its not bad cuz i aint hopping around corners
Most cars have limited slip differentials. They are commonly referred to as lockers because they will lock up under torque but will also turn at different speeds for corners. If you installed a spool, your rear would be locked all the time. Detroit lockers tend to be noisy around corners. However, if you have anything I would bet it is a trac lok. It is probably an open diff, it just happened to get both wheels going. I have heard about a trick old racers would use when they didn't have a locker. Back up a couple of feet and then hit and both tires should turn. Don't know if it actually works, just saying I have heard that several times.

i suspect it is an open diff and it would make sense because i always back into my buddies driveway

Stock V6 come with 7.5 with 3.08 or 3.27 gears and are non limited slip. They havean open diff

If your wheel is slightly turned and it relieves pressure off of the not turning wheel it will break lose.

i beleive they are 3.53 in them
3.53:1 are not a ford gear option for your 7.5" rear.

they would be:
2.73:1
3.08:1
3.27:1
3.45:1
3.73:1
4.10:1

as specified by ford:

M4209L308(OEM#) - 37-12(teeth count) - 3.08(ratio)
M4209F327(OEM#) - 36-11(teeth count) - 3.27(ratio)
M4209L345(OEM#) - 38-11(teeth count) - 3.45(ratio)
M4209L373(OEM#) - 41-11(teeth count) - 3.73(ratio)
M4209L410(OEM#) - 41-10(teeth count) - 4.10(ratio)
