I have a 3.5" cowl hood also. How much power do we need to back it up? If its 500 rwhp I'll have to convince my with I need more money for mods.

Wish list:
-- forged internals
-- supercharger cams
-- Hardball'r Intake
-- Dual fuel pumps
-- Upgrade to D1-SC at 14 psi

Edit: Different companies must measure the cowl differently. Cervini advertises my hood as 3.5" taller than stock but I just saw a picture of an H.O Fibretrends 4" cowl hood on another thread. Mine isn't even close to being that tall.

Go 3.5 and wingless. Or 2.5 w/ the wing.

i forget i'm getting older and prefer function over looks... different strokes for different folks

there is no set power limit for a cowl hood, but I would die from laughing if I saw a car with a 4" cowl hood on slicks & skinnies make consistent 11 or 12 sec. passes...

If you want it to look so badass... why not back it up?

again, I suppose I am old fashioned

Actually Shocker, I agree with you. I was attempting to be humerous. My hood is advertised as 3.5" but after looking at the other pirtures it more like 2". I think there would be really high expectations from anyone running that H.O Fibretrends 4" cowl hood that is shown in another thread. Buy the way, this hood looks higher than 4" to me.
