i'm droppin some cash all at once on mods for my car...i already have the headers covered, so my question is if i wanna replace my gears, which way should i go?...please lemme know, i'm still fairly new at this. thanks!!

Not trying to be a dick man, but there are probably 250-500 posts about gears. There's even a sticky on the top of this page about gears. I have also been guilty of posting questions about gears on this board, but I think most of the people here are sick of talking about that ****.........

I didn't mean to turn you off..... I just figured you would get flamed by somebody, so I let you know.

i just had 3.73's installed a few weeks back and it took a little to get used to the difference in rpm, but it's no biggie. you'll definately be able to live with it.

When you do a search, if you'll read all threads in the first two pages of search results, you'll be able to make up your own mind.

Or if you want someone to think for you, 4.10's are easily the most popular gear choice and FRPP is the preferred place to buy them.

You might want to play with that rpm calculator I linked earlier, do some research and draw your own conclusions. But that's just me.

Manual-----3.73 gears
Auto -----4.10 gears

i believe u will only see a 300 or so rpm difference using the 4.10's on the auto.

As for highway cruising there is only a 250 rpm difference between 4.10's and 3.73's at 90 and both are under 3000 so it isnt bad. 4.10's you can only reach 88 mph in third versus 96 in 4th but either way you will be shifting into fourth in the quarter mile. I say 4.10's. I will be getting them as soon as I can afford and I will let you all knowo how it goes. Good luck with your decision.
