hey all, im looking to buy mgw short shifter. im just not liking the steeda tri ax. Where can i get the mgw at and for the best price. Ive only seen it at stangmods for 199.00. Is this the best price? thanks all

i got mine on here for 135 used and i know someone else on here has one for like 150 i think....either way its a bad ass shifter, takes a little getting used to but i like it! fully adjustable!!!

BTW, if you're getting it for your mach, go to mach1registry.com and look through the classified section there. That's where I got mine. I think I paid around $135.

whats the difference from a mgw and a tri ax i got the tri ax its pretty koo ive gotten used to it but if a mgw is better i gotta know

I just got my MGW! looks freakin awsome. i'm gonna paint mine black though (instead of orage) kuz my cars black. do it right ofcourse..... primer, base coat....etc.
but it says you need to adjust the shift stops....i'm not quite sure what that means your adjusting. I havent read the directions or installed it yet i was just wondering what adjusting the shift stops is doing.

The shift stops are the bolts at the front and back at the base of the shifter. You want them adjusted so that when the car is in 3rd and 4th gear that there is very tiny gap between the head of the bolt and the handle. You don't want the shift shops to push against the handle while the car is in gear.
As far as a comparison between Steeda and MGW, I really don't think there is one. I had a Steeda on my 03 GT and now an MGW on my 03 Cobra. The MGW is hands down better imo. My Cobra had a PRO 5.0 on it when I bought it and it was junk.
