So for ahile now when I brake I hear a "clicking" noise and the pedal jumps on me. Short story is I found out it's something to do with the ABS system. Now my ABS light DOES NOT come on. I can removed the fuse for the ABS and everything operates normal as in no jumping pedal, but of course the ABS light then stays on. My question is...is it more like a wheel sensor of the actual ABS module? Anyone had this problem?

that jumping you are feeling is the abs module applying and releasing the brakes. how ever are you stepping on the brakes?

yes i do know that you are applying the brakes, the pulsing is the anti lock working. What im asking is how hard are you applying the brakes, does it do it at any pressure?

That sounds strange. one of your wheel speed sensors might be going to hell.

kind of a dumb idea but check your brake fluid, also you may have a leak in a brake line, you could be loosing pressure when pressing on the brakes and therefore the abs is engaging. not sure if it could be it but its worth a shot i suppose

nah, the abs wont do that with lose of fluid. it will only do that if it senses a tire locking up

I almost disable mine when i did my 31 spline conversion. but then i decided to swap the abs rings.

What i would suggest is to bring in somewhere to get it checked. either that or pull the fuse and remove the bulb from the cluster.

Someone told me AutoZone has a way of reading ABS codes that dont show up with an OBD2 reader.. anyone know id thats true? When you pull the fuse you loose your traction control too.. its kinda nice to have for a daily driver

hell my TC hasnt been engaged since I bought the car

i know autozone does it for free, im not sure if they can scan for ABS codes though, im sure it wouldnt hurt to give them a call or stop by. Sometimes there can be "hidden codes" that are there but dont trigger the CEL

either that or unplug the module and remove the light
