Yeah I just leaned it out only 2% and I haven't seen any smoke, but I will take your advice and put it back. I haven't really messed with anything else until I take it to someone here in town to tune it out. That picture was my car at cold idle, after a while she went down to 960 where I have it set at.

good choice, i wouldnt mess with the A/F ratios without a meter. Spark advance really is not that big of a deal as long as it doesnt start knocking.

if that is your idle in the pic it is really high
I had just started my car up when I took that pic, so it was at cold idle, it went down to 960 where I have it set at. I haven't really messed with it too much, going to take to a guy here in town who tunes mustangs. Thanks for the advice on leaning it out, I will change it back to be safe.

no problem for the advise. so your saying you can advance the timeing till it knocks, sounds kinda unreliable....

it shouldnt knock at idle, because it should only be adjustable at certain rpm ranges. Actually it shouldn't knock at all, my car doesnt and its bumped up 10%. Like i said though you might fry wires and kill plugs so keep that in mind. just dont run cheap gas in your car and you will be fine.

Just dont dick with the A/F mixture unless you know what your doing. Spark advance just gives you a more powerful spark.

doesn't it fire the spark sooner and retarded it fires the spark later with the piston is at the top position and not a more powerful spark?

its kinda does both in one, if you dont run cheap gas bumping it up will not hurt anything. It does fire the spark sooner but it also seems to make it more powerful, kinda like an on board coil.

i maxed that baby out lol, you can only bump it 10% or that is how much on my diablo. It felt like a 5-10 Rwhp gain. alot peppier above 2k too. Just listen very carefully and make sure it isnt knocking. Just cause nothing bad happened to me doesnt mean the same for everyone else

so tatartot99 has a livewire and so do i, is there anyting that we should monitor to tell if there is something going wrong?

make sure you read Tricks detonation guide, it will make you understand the concept alot better. I personally agree with him though, i would not touch it unless you know what you are doing or fill comfortable doing it. I know how my diablo works inside and out. I suggest you learn your livewire just as well 1st before messing with settings.
