anyone done it? mine seems to be going out.... the bearings in the pully are whistling and it's leaking a lil coolant
 
you can very easily do it yourself, i dont know what youre wanting as far as a replacement goes but the stewart water pump would be something to look into. They sell for $150 at summit. Supposed to be higher flow and less parasitic loss.
 
take the belt off, unbolt it from the block, clean the area where the gasket seals, and put the new one in. great time to change out the coolant too

so it's lke an hour of my time?
 
no, put a catch can under your car, you will spill some out when you take it out. and refill what you lost and keep the animals away the antifreeze is sweet, but deadly as ****
 
It would be best to, or atleast drain it partially. Good opportunity to put some fresh stuff in.
+1 gets all the nastys out to keep the pump going longer, plus when you clean the gasket area make sure you get all the gunk out of there, it can get really nasty
