ok story first. im 6'4" so needless to say in our roomy cars i gotta lean back everytime i wanna get my legs out of my car. well after a long time of leaning my ****ing drivers seat broke. front left corner frame snapped.

my question is sense the seat belt bolts into the body and not the seat itself can i just swap out the drivers seat with the passanger seat?. i dont care that one is electric and one is not. i would think they should swap right out. anyone done this or know of it being done? i really dont wanna go ahead and swap them just to find out im wrong. those 4 bolts are a bitch to reach sometimes lol

itll be a pain leaning the back with the it facing the middle council. but you could swap seats from our model or newer model stangs possible other cars i would think

yea it only gets moved once so that wont be a big deal. thanks. i figure the holes in the frame should line right up so yea if a cheap junkyard seat cost too much this will be plan b

Can't help you any with the bolt pattern in the floor, so no clue if a pass seat will fit.

I can say that the seatbelt clip will be in the center of the car. If you remove the holder there will be holes in the fabric underneath. Not sure if you'd want to put covers on them.

Here's a pic of the seat belt holder I'm talking about ...

everything will bolt right up but it will be reversed.....

and ur other seat will still be broken..... just go to a junk yard and get one for 50 bux... be a man.
if my memory serves me correctly u got the car for free when the insurance company totalled it out due to HAIL....... sink a dollar into her and she'll last u forever man

or camaro or honda.......

some people are assholes on CL

tru, ya run into a few.. IDK exactly were your at.. but I'll be taking my seats out soon and upgradeing them, nothing wrong with mine..Just upgradeing some interior, matching back seats coming out also-putting in a rear seat delete, I'm just undecided weather I want to hook up the elec frame on the drivers side to the upgraded seats..guess I'll have to research it some..but yeah mines coming out.. pm me if interested.. if not I'll be putting em on CL lol

I have a Kirkey Ill sell ya... haha

but yes in a pinch were you have to drive the car, you can swap the seats and the brakets, but i agree with Rags, that you will need to buy a new seat so it looks normal, unless you want to do a car like mine...

Im 6'7 and i just got the seat extender brackets for this past christmas
(Off Ebay for $60)and i love them it lets you move the seat 4 inches more.I can barley fit my hand between the back of the front seat and the rear seats. No on can sit behind me, but i love it ..

well tried today and no it does not work. 3 out of 4 bolts fit but the front left corner is off by about a 1/4 inch and will not go on. i tried local junkyards. every single one of them (called 10) immediatley said nopedont have any. so im **** out of ****ing luck i guess. unless i buy a replacement bracket which im sure will cost a ****ing fortune. i have just about had it with ford

Didn't the added hight piss you off though? I put them in mine but took them out because my head was rubbing the damn headliner.

so i figure ill just order a new moutning track right? 426.99 are ****ing kidding me. **** this trading this pile of **** off and buying a suv or somehting not made by ford

Why not just modify the stock tracks? Just drill new holes for the seat bottom and slide it back. There was a write up floating around a few years ago.
