Im not sure what you guys keep referring to as the aero nose but I would assume you mean the 87-93 style? I would certainly not changea thing about thise cars look, I love the 4 eye! At first I was a little skeptical but after seeing it in person I wouldn't think about going for a newer style.

Sorry to keep posting one after the other but I have a lot of stuff on my mind about the car.

I'm looking to get a header back exhaust for the car this week and was wondering what most people would go with. The car is so quiet right now and those stock header look awful, really bent tubing and I would figure they would be cast iron. I know of a few custom shops around but I rather buy something I can throw on that is fit for the car. Also I need a new air intake, not looking for something flashy and chrome but I cant drive it with the throttle body open to air like it is now. I would def prefer new parts but if anyone is local to me and has something I can pick up I'd be happy to get it. I'll chekc the classifed section in the mean time.

long tubes, dont piss away money on the shorty headers, prochamber and a set of magnalows.

will be mellow at idle but when you romp the go pedal, you will LOVE THE BARK of the motor

Bone stock motor. Just looks pretty on the outside haha. I will look into the long tube right away. It seems like a tight squeeze on the driver side with the steering shaft in the way. Not used to have a full engine bay, my 1.5 in the honda leaves enough room for a family, although the 2.2 going in will take care of that problem.

edit: Just to confirm, with the BBK long tube header, I need the short H-pipe that they offer also. I haven't seen an exhaust diagram but where would the catalytic converters be placed. The car will most likely be tagged as historic so I'm not sure on the exhaust restrictions allowed. Also Does magnaflow make an exhaust to fit the H-pipe or will I need to buy the mufflers separate and have them welded?

Yes I would appreciate that if you don't mind too much! I've also been searching the threads. Seems like I'll be getting 373 gears also as many people are saying its a great first mod. This coming weekend when I get back from work we are going to changes out the belts and hoses and wash down the engine bay. Oil change and maybe plugs and wires might be in there too. Anyone know of a shop that can install the gears, doesnt have to be exactly local to me as I will want it done right.

Another thing is gonna be the electric fan, IST supercool most likely cause it'll bolt up very stock-like and I don't really want to fab too much. Should I stick with the 195 which comes with it, or opt for the 180 or 160?

yup get the 180. you will need the H pipe that is short and intended for long tube headers. you can order the H pipe with catalytic converters on it. any cat back exhaust system will bolt up for the rest of the way out the back

Thank you sir.

Chris, that idle sounds beauiful, hows the sound under a load vs. neutral revving? Is it just as strong? Thanks for posting the video!
No prob man. Car sounds better under load. I've only heard it once from outside the car when the previous owner was driving it and I almost creamed my pants haha. Once you go Mac you never go back :D
