HMMM insurance not really just liability and theft!!! Also it quit doin it yesterday and for the most part of today and then on the way home the damn thing started missing again its just so frustrating, i think ill prob end up takin it to ford tomorrow or sat, so i just dont pour money into until it's fixed. This is just humorous to me anyway i had a guy ask me today if i had it in the right gear. I responded ya im pretty sure what do you mean?? He said that "like you have it in fourth and think your in second, and i just said ya im pretty sure but just seems like every time i go from third to fourth just grinds and never goes in and fith is just gone and walked off LOL!!!!!

My 99 Stang just started doing this exact same thing this week! Things seem fine when the engine's not fully up to temp, no hesitation in any gears or thru various rpms. Once the engine is fully up to temp, the hesitation starts in.

I thought it was my clutch slipping so I had it replaced yesterday and that didn't help with this issue. I had 125k on the original clutch so it needed to be replaced anyway, now if I could just get this hesitation fixed !@#$@!

Any suggestions?

I have this same problem right now with the used motor i installed in my 03GT, i pulled codes P1131 and P1132 off my handheld tuner, but i dont have the readout for this all i have is readouts for up to 999. But i was having an issue that was causing backfiring changed the EGR valve and that went away but now im still having the hesitating/lack of power/taking forever to go through power band issue that the author of the topic was having and i gave up and brought it to a dealership, ill post again when i find out what it was.

+1... i guess this was not a good week for some stangs

mine started last weekend (i posted a thread about it)

took my chip out and ran it with a stock tune and it did better...put my predator back in it, and it is still doing somewhat better, but new plugs, new MAF, new gas w/ octane booster didnt help, so its going in the shop monday morning

Have you replaced your fuel filter? Id run some BG 44K fuel system cleaner through it. Definatly sounds like the problem is on the fuel side.

Found the problem... I had fluid in the spark plug cavities for cylinders 6 and 7. I suspect it's from the small thermostat leak I'd had but not sure... hopefully it's not a crack in the intake. Anyway, cleaned up the fluid, replaced the plugs and coil packs for those 2 cylinders and she runs like a champ again!
