and what a pain in the ass! we are installing his pypes headers, i am hating them!!! i can not get the steering shaft in, i think i am going to have to drop the damn k again :mad:. after the headers are installed, i have to figure out how to get the mid pipe to bolt up. he got the VRS mid pipe for the bbk headers since pypes does not make a mid pipe for their own damn headers. the mid pipe is about 1/2in long overall, the fitment is really tight between the headers and cat back. the flanges that go to the headers are just a little narrow as well, its going to take a little finessing to get to bolt up.

after this we are going to be installing his N/X kit, atleast that will go a little easier if we just find out how we want to mount the solenoids.
 
sounds good. good luck with the install, man it was a pain in the neck when i did my bbk lts, my vrs mid pipe fit very well so hope his works. cant wait to see the finished product. i would do a shot of nitrous but im just not sure on that one though
 
the pypes fit and the starter just barely clears and i meen barely. you can barely wedge a pice of paper between them but it fits. Everything else fits pretty good besides the damn steering shaft. We are still working on getting it to clear. The vrs fits but its a really tight squeeze ant its just a tad to narrow to fit on the longtubnes so we are going to have to spread it about an inch to get it to fit. I was actually surprised it fit that well. i was expecting worse. i have pics of everything we have dopne to the car today, but ill post them when we get everything installed
 
i almost guarantee that its gonna sound good. probably gonna be louder if not just as loud as my set up. Man i really need to get an o/r x pipe now. cause mine is uubber quiet at idle and normal driving, but does scream at wot. but probably scream even more with an o/r x pipe. did yall take any pics of the install or anything?

mount them between the frame rail and fender. that way you can keep the engine bay clean. oh and run some black braided line and nobody will ever know.
 
wont fit+pypes= need I say more? lol Nah, im jus messin with ya papasmurf....Im sure everything will go together and sound pretty sick! good luck :D

the pypes headers dont fit all that bad they fit and clear everything but fitment is tight, the only thing that has been a real pain in the ass is the sterring shaft.

well, just got the damn steering shaft on. we had to drop the k again :mad:, drop the motor down :mad:, remove the bolt holding the oil dipstick :mad:, fish the shaft over the top of the headers :mad:, then fish it back thru the primary tubes with a little miracle :mad:, and get it back down to area to connect to the rack :mad:. we had to get the k back up and while trying to make sure the shaft stays in the right area. the rubber insulator on the shaft is rubbing a little bit so it will smell like **** unless we can get the slip shaft to adjust up a little.

in the middle of this mess, we called pypes as well. they said we may have to bend a primary to clear the steering shaft. i guess they dont know how to form a set of headers. they didnt like that statement and told me that apparently i dont know how to install a set of headers. i guess i am a bigger idiot than i thought :dunno
 
LMAO.... I didn't expect an answer from them like that. If the ragjoint is close enough to rub, its close enough to melt. Expect to have to change over to a solid setup soon. Good luck on the rest of the install.

its on and started, sounds good. the rubber melted off and the u-joint is now rubbing. i moved the shaft up as far as i can where the ujoint mount in the car, and i lack just a little bit. i am going to see what else i can do, i just need a little more out of it.
