That the stock exhaust on the gt sounds like an f150? lol it drives me nuts. I cant wait to get my pypes mid muffler setup!
Im sorry did i ignore the technical aspect of this thread? Oh right it doesnt have one. cheer up lil buddyJust got to work. Thanks for the great input bud
Are you sure about that? I had two 2004+ F150s. It's Y piped into a single pipe after the manifolds. It's got four cats and one huge muffler that's about three long and about 8" tall and 14" wide. No H Pipe, not two mufflers, not two sets of pipes, etc. I'd say that it's completely different.the reason it sounds the same is because it pretty much is the same......
That's what I was figuring. I went in for warranty work this week. They loanded me a F150. Then they returned my tune to stock. When I got in the car, the throttle response felt just like the F150. Wonder if that truck is running our 4.6L.the reason it sounds the same is because it pretty much is the same......
what do u mean by that? And why? i planned on running the pypes m/m setup off of the stock h-pipe untill i can afford a UPR x-pipe and mil eluminators.Might want to gut your h pipe too
No, the 4.6 are 2Vs. They use drive by wire which is what we've got and it's why we have poor throttle response from the factory's tuning. That's what I was figuring. For the love of god, please research Pypes more before buying. I made the mistake of buying them. There is nothing good about Pypes, regardless of price. That the stock exhaust on the gt sounds like an f150? lol it drives me nuts. I cant wait to get my pypes mid muffler setup!
