so i got the 4.30's installed in my car today, Travis(KaotikGT) my buddy nezir and myself got them put in today in about 1 and half hours, everything went very smooth. Car feels awesome now, and yep darrell i must say you were right buddy 1st gear is nearly useless, but i love the gears in the car otherwise, it picks up awesome, i did find out though that my car didn't have 3.27's as i had thought it actually had 3.08's, only downside that i've noticed is that in 1st obiviously and 2nd as well it pulls through the powerband waaaaaay too fast, but once it gets in 3rd it really comes alive. The fastest speed limit i went through on the way home was 55 MPH, i paced beside another car so i'm sorta guessing going off their speed but i was at 2100 RPM in 5th thanks for everyone's advice appreciate it all and thanks travis for giving us a hand.

Why not is the question. It pulls great that's for sure. I've had 3:73s in two cars and wished I would have went 4:10 both times but one was supercharged so I stuck with 3:73s. Besides its not like we can run 80 omn the highway around here so I think he'll be ok. Oh when we going to go to the track and run tim?

yea thats the problem i'm running into with my car right now, 5.0's don't love to rev nearly as much as the DOHC 4.6's, that and my motor being basically stock, the 4.30's pull so hard that thru 1st and 2nd the motor never has time to make much power.

i dont understand how your going to run a 1/4 mile race. with those gears it should be a 1/8 mile race. if you were going 55 in 5th at 2100, your car tops out at what 90-100? idk but just sounds kinda iffy

i put the 4.30's in because i got a good deal on them and would eventually want that anyway...As far as running it a quarter mile. There are no quarter mile tracks anywhere near here. Only 8th mile, so thats another reason why i went with the 4.30's. I'll probably never have the car at a 1/4 mile track if i do by then i'll have enough done to the motor to keep up with the gear...
