Anyone run a strut tower brace? If so do you find ant improvement in everyday driving?
I really doubt it, it would have to angle around it towards the inside of the car and back down. with those bends im not sure how it would really be functional enough to do what it is suppose to do. I havent seen one but maybe you could fab one up?I asked this question in an earlier one of these threads but got no answer. Are there any strut tower braces that fit around or under or fit with the Shaker Hood?! I really would like a strut tower brace in the future, but I plan on having the Shaker hood system so thats not exactly going to work out to well, know what I mean?![]()
Shaker assembly is completely in the way, never seen nor heard of a brace on any shaker car.
Gotta make it in first... I'm one in about 500 waiting for final ranking before final interviews and then selection, Mid may I will know what my rank is and from there hopefully into the academy, if not, I'll have to find a job to do while I'm not in school, otherwise this stang will be stock for FAR too longjust like everyone else, i have never seen a brace on a car with a shaker hood but if you fab one up be sure to have pics! and you will have a blast in police academy one of the most fun and interesting things i have ever done.
Two posts above yours is the one for the 03-04 Mach 1Does any company offer a strut tower brace for the 03-04 Mach 1's? A similar design may work for our cars with a shaker. May just have to fab it up yourself. Maybe saleen or sms offer something since they have the shaker units.
I don't know. I drove around with mine for 1,000 miles and couldn't tell a difference. The S197s are too rigid from the factory to need it, IMO.You won't notice it while its on, but you will once you drive it for 200 miles and take it off.
