SUMITUMO FOR THE FREAKIN WIN!!!

went to the track tonight and track prep was good but nothin special. i mean you couldn't hear the tires stickin to the ground when pullin up the stagin lanes...the sound of pickin up rubber and the ground just bein sticky when you roll up...

anyway 1.8' sixty foot...no need for more expensive drag radials that will just help me break something (not sayin i would). 103 dollar sumitumo for the win!

by the way, it ran 8.9 in the heat with the 1.8...BUT it ran the same 8.9 later on when it was cooler with just a 2.0 sixty foot...so its definitely got some 8.7's in it with another 1.8. if the 1.8 doesn't get it there then add some cooler weather and it will be (was still only in the sixty's)

nice 60 bro you probably have more in it, whats your launch technique? everyone told me 1.7s and 1.8s arent possible on street tires :sorry

thanks man. i did a nice burnout and stopped about 5 seconds after i could see smoke coming up...and i slipped the clutch out at 4grand...and yes, it actually felt like it coulda took a little more. i don't think the tires would've hooked as good if i didn't heat them up...and whats great is they don't look any different than when i got to the track!

if you ran 8.4 with a gear and exhaust with a 1.9 sixty foot then hats off to you. you have probably the fastest gt i've ever heard of if thats all you had...and thats my point. thats why i like my tires...because you had drag radials or slicks or whatever they were and still only cut a 1.9.

I want to see you put down 350 plus on the sumi's, mine sucked. But with a completely stock suspension I did a 1.66 60" with mt's, For every tenth in your 60 it doubles on the big end.

the 315's have HUGE gaps in between the treads......i wouldnt reccomend that size but ive heard good things about the smaller models

i think they had more in them too...i mean i think i can launch even harder...

and i'm not worried about puttin down 350 plus...my car won't be anywhere near there for a while...not till i spray it. and by then i don't expect to hook with nitrous on street tires.

i put my nitto 275/40/17 on today i like them alot more then my sumitomo,s i get alot more traction other then gears and tune one of the best mods for the price
