I got my car back this afternoon. They'd given it a bath and put a "Just Finished!" sign on the windshield and parked at the end of the parking lot close to the street to show off their work. This is at a traditional bodyshop that keeps paintless dent repair personnel on site. I've always thought it was hokey bullshit, but it works. The car looks awesome. The kid that detailed the car did a better job than the dealership where I bought it. It still needs a polishing with 3M Swirl Remover to get the glossy wet look back, but I'll do that.

Now I can get busy with the plan...

I haven't tried it yet, but it keeps popping up all the time. This spring I'm goig to give this stuff a try. I have yet to hear a negative thing about it.

There was a guy at work that swore by that stuff. He had a 3-series BMW convertible that was his pride and joy. Pretty nice car, he kept it looking good.

A friend has a 78 Corvette he drove daily for 8 or 9 years, it's retired from dailer driver status but he learned how to keep black glossy and free of the "spider web" scratches that you hardly notice on other cars but make black paint look beat. Anyway, that was what he recommended.

The plan to mod the car or to burn it?????????
The only fire I'm setting on the car is in the cylinders and that's about to get enhanced. But that's all I can divulge now. Except the name.

I call it...

Project...

Kill Will.
Here we F-ing go again. I hope he doesn't stumble upon this thread. Get ready for 449 pages worth of BS............

Maybe you should look at something like this.
Those are $60 cheaper new at Summit.

:dunno

Alright, I'll post it. I want to have something else done while the car is at MPH but I haven't decided yet. Cams are tempting. But probably stage 1 cams to avoid needing P&P.

That's why it says buy it now or BEST OFFER. Also, that item includes the springs, which are a good chunk of change.

I forgot about the springs... But those won't work right without headers/mid-pipe?
I never said they won't work, because I don't know. I am just saying that if you don't open up that exhaust, you won't have any place for all that new air to go. Believe me, the 270 cams are letting plenty of air into the cylinders. The last Chevy motor I built had 296 degrees of duration, and I swear that this 4.6 is loping just as hard as that 355 was. I don't really understand what the difference is yet, but this blows my mind.......

It's because it's a smaller motor. Take a cam that makes a nice lope in a 400 SBC and take it out and put it in a 305 and it will sound a lot more aggressive.

234/238 @ .050 is a pretty agressive street cam period. I have a friend that has a nearly identical cam in a 383 in a 68 Vette and it hits a good lick. So it will sound much more agressive when you take 102 cubes away by putting it in a 281.
