My front struts seems to be blown. When I hit any bumps, potholes or anything like that... the front end takes the hit pretty hard, the steering column takes the brunt of it and shakes the wheel.

Whats everyones opinions on these front struts

87-93 FRONT STRUT, 5.0L MUSTANG

They are sitting on eibachs and the cars pretty low. I'm hoping thats the cause of the rough ride not just being lowered.

And would these shocks be ok for the rear?

79-93 REAR SHOCK, ALL MUSTANG

Just looking for something good for daily driving, and doesn't feel like its going to flip around a turn.

kyb's are good. its what everyone used to use in the old days. honestly for the rears i would just go to auto zone and buy the 4cyl shocks that are like 14 bucks

You think. Like I said nothing racy or sick around turns. I just feel like if I'm taking a turn and I'm cutting the wheel right, my body is being thrownnnnn to the left.

I'm going to look into the 4cyl shocks, anyone think I should take the quadshocks off, or will that make it worse?

Quad shocks help tame the rear end. Only reason to remove them would be if you are running a really fat tire. Replace them, don't remove them. But... if you install new control arms you should get rid of them. Ford put in shitty control arms and to compensate, they put the quad shocks in.

If you want the car to have some handling left in it don't do the lakewoods.. they'll increase body roll and the quad shocks help prevent wheel hop but if you go with a good set of lower control arms and replace the bushings in the uppers or replace the uppers then you can ditch the quads without increasing wheel hop.

I have lcas. Idk what brand. Boxy blue ones. I don't want tons of body, roll... but I just want to be able to take a turn at 15mph and not have to go so wide. Would shocks and struts do the job for me?

I've never touched the uppers. Is there any benefit from going after those?

Do you have caster/camber plates too? Some of them have 1.5" more travel to compensate for lowering. If your struts are bad the car can ride rough. Ball joints can add to the roughness too.

Stock every thing Darrel. Thats why I figured Id start off with the obvious struts and shocks.
Definitely add some good caster camber plates to the list before struts. If you are bottoming out your struts, you will probably ruin the new set. An alignment will make a difference too.

I know this is old, but my front doesn't bottom out, just the rears. But when I hit pumps It feels like my hole steering column shakes. You can feel it through the steering wheel.

I'm going to go buy 4cylinder shocks. I hope they ride nice.
The rear bottoms out? That is weird that you feel that in your steering column... The shocks are either junk or they don't have the correct travel for the ride height of the car.

I'm wondering if my cars to low in the front. It rubs in the rear do to my dr's. But it still hits bumps pretty hard. I shouldn't have mentioned the rubbing because it didn't do it with street tires. My bad. But the other stuff stands.
