I'm sure the Whipple has less gadgets than the Paxton to install.

i spent 5500 on my setup and that was with it being tuned. but i bought a tuner kit i advise people that buy tuner kits to make sure they take it somewhere that is not known for blowin cars up:)

Yeah but when did you buy it? You won't find them for less than $6500 now (Gen II). I bought mine for $5700 but that was last year right before the price hike.

Never mind I see in your sig you have a Procharger. Whipples cost around $6500 or more now for an H.O. kit.

I was lucky in that I got mine before the big price increase. I got mine shipped to my front door for $5275, now you can't touch one for less than $6400. The hardest part about the install was the fuel pump, but nothing was that bad. Everything is step by step and if you take your time everything fits like a glove.

Even I had trouble with the fuel pump with my Paxton, it's a PITA. I guess you'll run into that with a double pump.

Installing a Whipple, from what I understand, is waaaay easier than a KB, and we put maybe 18 man hours into installing my KB. That whipple, for 2 dudes that don't participate in the special olymics, should take maybe 6 hours in the damn auto skills center (if you have something like that where you're stationed).

I had 15 Hours in mine and that was by myself with no help. I would just plan on taking a whole weekend. Take your time and don't cut any corners. I'm not a fan of crimp connectors on all of the wiring so I made sure I soldered everything and made everything neat.

I had my whipple HO kit installed at the Ford dealer for about $1,500 less. I think what I paid was a lot. If I had to do it all over again I would buy a used GT 500. It comes with a Warrantee. I dont have the time or the Mechanical ability to fix the things that will go wrong. I do have to say that I have a great time driving it.

15 hours is about right for an experienced mechanic. That equates to around $1000 give or take. A dyno tune should range anywhere from $300-$500. Do the math...it should cost about $8000 for the kit, install and tune.
