I hate to grave dig and i hate to make new topics about something we keep seeing constantly. So here i go.

Im looking in spending money on an exhaust and so far my car came with Flowmaster cat-back with 40 series mufflers. I wanna keep them and i love them

Im looking for what kind of headers would fit my automatic GT. I've read that BBK headers only fit GTs with standards and im not sure about the other brands. I cant see to find reliable specs any where. I know Mac sell headers that would fit with my automatic but what are my other options. I saw mid length headers on late restoration but they seem to require heavy modification :/ Im thinking of going with only shorty headers since i dont plan on F/I my stang.

What ya think? Thanks in advance :]

Mac Lts, o/r h and slp lm1s :)

mac long tubes, bbk off road h pipe and flowmaster American thunder, im kind of biased as i have that but it sounds really good.

Kooks LT's with matching off road X-Pipe and magnaflow cat-back.......best sound and most power out of the 3 different set-up's I had!

"ED"

This 2001 Mustang GT upgraded it's 2.25" stock exhaust to a Pypes 2.5" catback system
H-Pipe+SLP LM2

Headers are Pointless IMO Untill you have more then Just a Stock Motor. You wont gain much from shorties.More From Longtubes yea but for the price of longtubes you can by other things that will give you the same power. You can still make you car sound good or loud without playing with headers.

I dont need headers to sound good? I plan to add performance in my Stang but i just want to make it sound louder and a tad better for now. I feel that my flowmasters arent loud enough anymore. What i plan to do is add an CAI, udp, and a tune. Think headers and a midpipe go good with that set up?

OK, what kind of midpipe would fit my stock headers? Long or short headers?

EDIT: Im thinking the long midpipes would do the trick...Also what kind of midpipe would ya recommend? Im thinking prochambers since might get headers in the future and Mac LTs fit autos. :/
