Got a misfire on all 8 cylinders randomly. That's what the code says. Brisk plugs gapped to .028, look good. ONLY happens between 1600-1800 rpm, work fine everywhere else, and under boost. Have intercooler and Meziere.

Coils not getting enough juice? Weak alternator? Hit me with some ideas, of if you have come across this...looking for some smart input before I get a boost-a-spark.

blinker fluid. Check it.

Dude i have no idea. I wish I could help. This post is for subscription

i was getting lot of misfires with my car until one day it finally just died. come to find out i had a bracket on the back of the drivers side head near the fire wall that was rubbing the coil wire. it finally got to the point where it blew the ignition fuse.

Blinker fluid is good, just had all 4 flushed and reserviced. Put a new tensioner on my muffler belt too. I'll take a look at the wires again, I was pretty meticulous when I redid my main harness, but I could have finger ****ed something back there. Any body else have ideas?

I have a feeling that may not be an issue, since it hasn't been doing this until recently but will check once I get out of work.

could be your MAF too... it is always the spark plugs on my misfire issues... I killed a set of brisk too

I know my MAF transfer is ****ed (thanks, KB, for that splendid box tune!), part of the reason I'm looking at tuners in the Biloxi area when I go down there the end of this month.

Have you ever had a misfire that ONLY happened in the rpm range I'm describing? That's the thing that's twisting my head...ALL my other misfire issues have been under load/boost only...not cruising around 1700 rpm...it's not what you'd normally experience with weak plugs...and no way you'd lose all 8 at the same time.

is it doing anything else like maybe running rich or lean my car was doing something very similer turned out to be a bad 02
It goes slightly rich (bounces between 14.3 & 14.7) when it does misfire...which only enforces my belief that the plugs indeed aren't creating clean spark for whatever reason...but other than that, nothing out of the ordinary.

I don't know the number, but 6 times it's been "random misfire all 8 cylinders". That is the only code I'm getting, and it only happens if I spend a lot of time at that RPM range...if I keep it over 2000 RPM or at idle, it won't throw the code. It's JUST between like 1600-ish and 1800-ish rpm.

It might be worth it to travel to Doug to get a tune now ...
I can't leave here till the 29th...it's a 3 day drive, I have to be in place on the 2nd...so there's no way I can get the car to him on the way down...and we've already established that I'm not driving that far when Stang Hi is in Baton Rouge. You really think it's a tune thing that showed up after 2.5 years? No, I'm thinking it's mechanical, whatever it is.

i think coils happened on a car i had a before this one misfire down low but no problems ne where else.........but then agian that wasnt a ford.........

there are some good tuners here in KC... my nephew just bought a speed shop with a dyno already there... cheap thing to do would try a new set of plugs... I am back to HT0s now... you will need another set sooner or later and it will rule the plugs out... my problem was my methanol was kicking in too early and burning up my plugs.. but you don't have that problem

I'll be passing through there on my way down...still can't take the time to stop for more than gas and a few beer...I mean...coffee? I'm so tired of replacing plugs on this thing...it's always been one at a time, throw a code for the cylinder misfiring, change that plug, drive on...whatever. And like I said, I've had the Brisks on a LONG time with no issues, period. Nothing in my tune changed, and like you said, there's nothing like water/meth injection to add to the confusion. Maybe the plugs are just worn...but why now, all 8, only after I put on the e-water pump...
