I'd say just leave the headlight in, I really don't think it would be worth the effort. I'd be surprised if you pick up a tenth by just taking it out. If you're not going to run that fast of a time anyway, I would say you're gonna kinda look like a tool going slow with a headlight removed. Just my opinion.

A battery relocation really isn't that hard, but the thick cabling you need can be expensive, and it's kinda tedious to hide the wires. Empty out your trunk once you get to the track, that'll save some weight. You can build a rear seat delete if you take your time and get it right, it will look a lot better and shave off a few pounds. Try not to run on a full tank of gas to save a little weight. Unbolt your front sway bar (I think it's only like four bolts) to help with the weight transfer (see how you like the car after you unbolt it, you can leave the sway bar out if you don't mind how it affects your handling). Get some grippy tires, pref. drag radials with wider rims. That's all I can think of for right now as far as cheap/free mods to improve track times a little bit.

I don't know bout all the other stuff bout on the sway bar...would I just leave it hanging and take out the links that connect it from the sway bar to the a arm?

I think most people take them off and see how they like the way the car drives. Some people can't tell a difference, some people say they can't stand it afterwards. If you don't mind the way it feels, then just leave it off. Otherwise just take it off on raceday and put it back on.

i love them.. i had some raspy sounding flows that came with the car but the started coing apart inside and i got a real good deal on them... they remind me of slp but deeper... alot deeper

I say run the car with and without the headlight to see what it does. It takes a whole 10 seconds to removed the headlight and replace it. Who cares what anybody else thinks, unless you are going to impress the people there. Take any little bit you can. If it doesn't help then what did you lose?

Ya that's what I was gonna do...and taking out the sway bar should help with my weight transfer on the strip right? Shifting it to the rear wheels?

Ya but I'm not gonna mess with my batt...to much trouble...and I'm not that serious..if I made it a full strip car then hell ya

I always take out the headlight at the track...did i tell a diff....i don't remember but if i don't take it off i always feel it would've ran at least a tenth better, superstition i guess...

Its gotta help a little bit...I mean...your open element is right there behind it..I'm even thinking of opening up the hole a bit and getting a cowl hood to move some of the hot air under the hood...I know its only a 1/4 mile but still...
