Well, I have noticed that for quite some time the paint under my trunk lid has been really damaged. The red has been flaking off reveling the primer, and just made it look really bad.

Instead of paying to have it repainted, or try to match the color myself, I decided to paint the inside of the trunk panel flat black. I picked up a can of Primer and Flat Black enamel today along with some sandpaper. Roughly $15.00 without tax.

I thought WTF is he thinking? This is going to look like ass.

Really sets off the trunk.

Thanks guys! I thought the same thing when I began to do it. I was thinking it was gonna turn out really bad as well, but I to was impressed.

I plan to do the same thing to my header panel and front of the engine bay when my 03/04 Cobra bumper comes in. Gonna put Black Mesh for the opening of the Cobra bumper as well.

Looks very good. Wasn't sure about it to start, but blends in nicely with the rest of the trunk opening.

kind of iffy at first, but it turned out really good, good work!

Nope. That is Vinyl, got that a long time ago. Next time I get some painting done I am gonna get it painted Gloss Black however.

yea i kinda wanna drop the vinyl and paint it too. havent got brave enough to do it though
