I sent this to Rich, but i would like everyone else's opinion as well. I need the ABSOLUTE best ET possible.

ok here it is:

I got a buddy of my with an 02ish vette. it's not a z06, it's an FRC (fixed roof coupe). has heads, cams, some exhaust (not sure about headers, but no cats), an intake, a tune, and i think that's it. i think he said 380hp w/ a bad tune and he runs a 12.5 (i think he cant drive too well, i may be wrong).

i have the following that may apply to the track:
NSR stage II's
U/D pullies
JLT
GT500 TB
Delete plates
MAC headers
O/R X pipe
Stingers
4.10s
Hurst
FRPP springs

I think that's it. here's the deal. $500 to the person w/ the best ET; Same day, same time. Best outta 3. i ran a 13.0 w/o the TB, CMCV's, 4.10's, and Headers. the other end of the deal is that i get track tires and a custom tune before we race.

What do you think? what else can i buy before the race that will help my ET the most? (note: no N20, F/I or Boost, etc). i need help!
 
what rich said, with an emphasis on weight loss! I ran 12.7 with autocross tires before my gears and shifter, so with your cams and all your other mods coupled with good driving you should be around 12.5 or better.
 
Tires and suspension.

Get some MT et streets and suspension, drop the swaybar, lose the passenger seat, spare, jack, enything you car to shed weight.

The only way you will have a chance of beating him to get get him off the line, because there is no way you are going to catch a heads and cam LS1 vette on the big end.
 
Remove hood, doors, passenger seat, rear seat delete, clean out trunk, stickies, heads, short belt as rich said, E-H2O pump
 
He's bull shitting you or really can't drive. My buddy was running close to that number with exh., intake and a tune.
 
you better consider a hidden nitrous kit...........He could be a shitty driver and that car should run 11s.......not downing your car, it is capable of some good times man. Its just not competition for a head/cam vette.
