I always had and 85 mph in my dash and always wondered why I don't have the 140 mph in my dash
um...... ever heard of splicing?no, 89's had the option of 140mph but it was a factory option. standard was 85mph.
You can take a 140mph speedo or cluster out of an 89 car and swap it in without issue but 90 and above have different dash harnesses so some **** won't work right unless you repin the harness which isn't worth the trouble in my opinion.
Dash harnesses are different from 87-89 to 90-93. I found out the hard way years ago but feel free to pull a cluster from a 90 plus car and pop it into a 89 and below to try to prove me wrong lolum...... ever heard of splicing?
it would depend on the OP's level of electrical experience. If he is comfortable with wiring then it can be done.um...... ever heard of splicing?
You can change that as well.. I never really dicked with it on fords but on gm's it's simple. There's a few piece in the back that you have to unscrew to unlock the dials then just move them to what you want. go to the junkyard and pull one from a four banger or something and take it a part and you'll see before you go doing it to your nice cluster.I want to swap it but them my milage wouldn't be correct
