Im putting together a Vortech V1 kit and I still need things like pump, injectors, mass gauges stuff like that. It has the stock Vortech bypass but I wanna put a procharger race valve or some other kind of bypass valve. Can you put a blow off valve on a supercharger? I didnt think you could but i was on youtube and saw people with superchargers with what they called blow off valves. are they really using bov or are they mis speaking and meaning bypass valve? basically I want a cool sounding bypass valve (dont know if there is such a thing but if there is I would like to look into it).

I cannot answer that question in detail but he cool sound you hear is the whine of the supercharger and it gives me a hard on every time I drive a supercharged mustang or lightning KB is what really gives me the hard on but I am pretty sure its a bypass!!! seeing how the bov is used on turbo kits.. but i could be wrong as I am not extremely knowledgable in this catagory good luck on your build!

The whine from Kb's and eatons are not the bypass. Its the gears and internals and shiz (for the kb the twin screw style gears).

You need 42lbs injectors, a GT supercar pump with BAP IMO, and PMAS or SCT BA MAF. Yes a BOV is used IF you are running a intercooled setup. A BOV is vented to the atmosphere and a by-pass is re-circ to the intake AFTER the MAF and before the blower if its a draw thru setup. If your running a draw thru(MAF before blower) you need a by-pass valve and re-circ it. If your running a blow thru. MAF after blower then a BOV is fine. Hope this helps

ok thats looks like a standard setup with draw-thru. So going to blow thru(intercooler) you need the piping and intercooler of course. You can use a by-pass valve on a blow thru yes. It will re-circ to the inlet tube.(tube with air filter) A BOV can then be used if you like and vent to the atmosphere. I think a by-pass valve can be vented to the atmosphere too if your running a blow thru.

haha i do have another question, if i stumble across a set of 60# injectors can i use them with 9# of boost or will that be to much fuel? I would like to run 12#'s with a intercooler and conservative tune. for now i may just run the stock pulley and upgrade later but i would like to just put the 60's in now so i dont have to buy injectors twice.
